Event Security is to be viewed as a prevention measure against disorderly conduct and crime at an event. The primary purpose is to ensure the safety and security of all employees and patrons at the event in a manner that does not compromise or interfere with the planned event activities. It ensures that patrons abide by the event management’s rules and regulations during events. Event Security is embedded in the crowd of patrons to monitor and control behavior to ensure that all attendees are afforded every opportunity to safely enjoy the event.

Event Security assists patrons, maintains clear aisles and limits access to sections and areas of the facility before, during and after events. Event Security may be required to assist in the physical removal of unruly, drunk, disorderly, or otherwise violent persons. Enforce and comply with policies, post orders and client instructions. Provide access control by ensuring that only authorized people are permitted to the area of responsibility using visual and/or Handheld Metal Detectors (HHMD) methods as necessary. Conduct weapons, contraband, and bag screening to ensure a safe environment.

Conduct foot patrols or carry out standing posts instructions for the area of responsibility. Verbally interact with other people within the area of responsibility.
